Hello and welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #40!
Hey guys! π
How as your week been? I gotta say that this week’s been a heck of a lot better than last week. I’m over the flu finally… I was feeling a lot better by last Friday, but it did linger for a while and it’s only been the last couple of days since I’ve been feeling back to 100%.
I spent most of this week trying to catch up on everything I didn’t get done last week, which includes blog posts. Unfortunately the weather has not wanted to cooperate and we’ve been either cloudy or fogged in, which means no natural lighting for blog pictures. I’ve had to dig out every photo lighting contraption I own to get halfway decent pictures, so my house has looked like a photography studio all week.
Bloggers, how do you deal with days that you need to take pictures but have no natural lighting to speak of?
This week’s features:
Lora B. shares her Vintage Roof Rack to Cool Coffee Table. It doesn’t get much more creative than this!
Since neutral colors rule farmhouse style these days, it can be difficult to decorate for Valentine’s Day without using predominately red and pink colors. That’s why I was so excited when I saw that Mary at The Boondocks Blog shared Ten Projects For A Special Valentine’s Day. Some great ideas here that don’t rely on the typical Valentine’s Day colors!
Kate at A Hundred Affections hits the nail on the head with her refreshing Cozy Rustic Farmhouse Winter Decor Ideas that truly say “winter” instead of “still the holidays.”
The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style. If it doesnβt fit into that description, please donβt link it up. Please no food/recipe posts. You can link up your new and old posts alike as long as you only link them up here once.
By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next weekβs party! You will also get a chance for your post to be shared on my Facebook group DIY Farmhouse Style, which at this writing has over 266 thousand members! Unfortunately now this is the only way to share your blog posts and links in the group. I’ve had too many problems in the group with people sharing inappropriate links disguised as links to blog posts, so I can no longer allow anyone to post blog links directly.
By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with an explicit link back to your original source.
Now letβs party!
Thanks so much for stopping by at The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #40! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead and I’ll see you back here next Friday!

Michelle I’m glad to hear that you are feeling better. It can be tough stuck inside without any great lighting. I used to go out to the balcony to photograph when I lived in Greece but since I moved that is no longer an option. Now I struggle to get a decent ray of light. Thank you so much for the feature. I too like to stray away from the typical red and pink.
Michelle says
You’re very welcome for the feature, and yes, I’m feeling much better. π Has the flu season been as bad in your area as it’s been in the states?

This is my 1st. time seeing u I love your page, how can I keep up with your site? I have a very dated bathroom sink it is in a cabnit it’s round how can I make it look farmhouse, I just found farmhouse to, I put the ship lape stick on paper up and it looks real, I saw on pin treat a woman put this in her bathroom, what do you think? I like everything I have seen you do.
Michelle says
Hi JoAnn! How do I keep up with my site? Not very well π
I see a lot of people use the stick up shiplap paper and I think it’s a great alternative to actual shiplap (and it’s a lot easier to put up!). If you’re on Facebook, please consider joining my DIY Farmhouse Style group https://www.facebook.com/groups/DIYFarmhouseStyle/ and posting your question with a photo of your bathroom. We have a lot of great members who can help you with some ideas with it. Let me know if you post and I’ll take a look and add my two cents π
Thank you and I hope to see you there!
