Welcome to Farmhouse Friday!
Hey friends! How was your week?
I took a little impromptu time off from the blog this week to work on getting my vegetable garden cleaned up and started. I usually start veggies in mid-April, but the weather here has been so unseasonably cool I didn’t dare. Last weekend was looking like it was going to finally get and stay warm, so I was like “Hey – let’s start planting!” and bought some tomato and pepper plants. But then we got hit with a rainstorm this week with the highs in the mid-60’s, which is just plain crazy for this time of year.
This is our side yard with a few of our raised vegetable beds I managed to get cleaned up before the weather turned. The plants in the beds farthest away are sunflowers that volunteered from last year (they’re not blooming quite yet). One good thing about are unseasonably cold and wet weather is our geraniums and other spring flowers are big and gorgeous this year!

Hi Michelle! Thank you so much for hosting this awesome linky party!! I always look forward to it each week. By the way, your home is to die for! I LOVE that huge porch! And…your geraniums sure are huge and beautiful! I can’t believe it cooled off again where you live. I live in Arizona and it reached 97 this week! We are, thankfully, back in the 80s for a few days, but that temp will not stay for long now. By the way, a big thank you for sharing my Rustic Jewelry Cabinet on your FB site! I was really tickled to see it posted. That was very sweet of you! Have a wonderful week!
Many hugs!!

Thank you so much Tiffany! My husband is a general contractor and he built our house. I really love having the porch too although it’s sorely overdue for repainting! I just tell everyone the weathered look is in style 😉 Your Rustic Jewelry Cabinet is pure awesomeness! Would you believe I had just bought a hanging jewelry cabinet the week before I saw yours? Oh well – guess I gotta buy more jewelry 😉 I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

I’m really late planting a garden this year too for the same reason. My plan is to plant this weekend but fingers crossed the weather holds up. Have a great weekend Michelle and happy planting!

Thanks so much Marie! I hope you able to get some planting in last weekend. Our weather is still crazy here – we are getting hail! In May!!! That’s unheard of for this time of year. It’s supposed to warm up next week so hopefully I can get my garden in then. I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Thanks for featuring my Faux Flower Mosaic, Michelle! Hope you get better planting weather soon! We’re fighting the rain here, too:(

Thanks for featuring my Dollar Tree succulent basket Michelle! Like you, I can’t get enough Dollar Tree makeovers and hacks!
Today I am sharing a variety of posts. First, our ORC Basement Teen Bonus Room Reveal. Not exactly farmhouse style, but there is some pallet wood. galvanized stuff, and vintage junk, so I think it will work! Also a post about an adorable flower market I discovered recently, and my spring-to-summer tablescape with the vintage dishes I shared on our tea party hop last week. I hope you enjoy the posts.
Have a great weekend!

You’re very welcome Amber! All the posts you shared are fine – as long as it’s in the DIY realm of things I’m good with it 🙂 I hope you’re having a wonderful week!

Your kitchen is amazing! I have a very similar layout and plan to do the same renovation. Swing the cabinets and dishwasher next to the sink.
