Fall Entryways using stuff from nature!

Fall Entryways using stuff from nature!

(For those of you who are new visitors, this is an old post from when my blog was named Bianchi’s Barn, hence the watermarks on the pictures. So don’t worry- I didn’t steal them! ;) )

Fall is such a wonderful time of year- mostly because you can use natural materials to decorate! Today I’m sharing a few pictures of my entryway for your decorating inspiration.

This is our entry bench, though it’s not really at the entry… it’s pretty much smack dab in the middle of our lower level across from the family room. I have a more “formal” entry table by the front door across from the living room, but when I saw this bench I fell in love with it and had to have it! We do use it a lot (usually it’s covered with hats, books, purses and backpacks) and it is great fun to decorate for the holidays!

Here is our front door! Those are vintage grape boxes I’m using as stands.

LOVE the colors on these gourds and corn!!! Can’t beat fall colors!

This is the first natural wreath I’ve ever made, so I’m quite proud of it! :) I used a straw wreath and floral pins along with leaves from a grapevine and a liquid amber tree, mums, and red berries. I alternated the materials and just worked my way around pinning them to a straw wreath, then used some natural twine to hang it. After gathering the materials, it took me maybe 10 minutes to put together. I made it about a week ago, and even though the materials have dried out quite a bit, it still looks great! I can’t wait to make more!

Fall Entryways using stuff from nature! I hope this gets your creative juices flowing! Until next time!
