Hey all!
2015 is almost upon us! Can you believe it? This year has just flown by!
It’s been a great year at The Painted Hinge. There have been a lot of exciting changes (mainly the blog name!) and I’m looking forward to another great year! And stay tuned for a super-exciting giveaway starting on January 3rd where you can win $500.00 in PayPal cash!!!
My resolution for the blog in 2015 is to post consistently. That has always been a challenge for me! I always start off every week with the intention of posting at least twice, but invariably life gets in the way and I’m lucky if I get one post in the can. I know if I want to be successful at this, I need to make it a top priority! So plan on seeing a lot more from me in the coming year (fingers crossed)! 🙂
So without further ado, let’s count down the top 5 posts of 2014!
5. Pumpkin Spice Bundt Cake
This super-easy, moist and delicious cake recipe was a huge hit! It’s a perfect alternative of the usual fall dessert fare. It uses yellow cake mix, but trust me- no one will know but you! 😉
4. My Christmas Home Tour 2014
This was my second Christmas home tour on the blog and my first being part of a super-exciting holiday home tour with 17 other awesome blogs! It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again next year! Although I enjoy the holidays, I’m really glad they’re almost over… I got a severe case of holiday burnout this year! I am really looking forward to doing it again next year, but I’m more than happy to wait for it. 🙂
3. Granny Square Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern
This is by no means some new and genius pattern I came up with, it’s just a rehash of a classic staple, so at first I was a bit surprised it was one of my most popular posts for the year. But then I learned everyone (including me!) loves stuff they already know how to do with a simple added twist to make it fresh again.
2. Sweet Spring Shrug No Seam Crochet Pattern
After the popularity of my original No Seam Crochet Shrug Pattern, I decided to do a lighter version for spring this year. I was on a Medieval kick when I designed it and added draped sleeves to it as well.
1. The Easiest Crochet Heart Pattern Ever!
Again, I was surprised this post did so well- I mean, it’s just a simple heart pattern. But in these busy times, we want something that is beautiful, yet quick and easy to do. Since this was by far my most popular post of the year, it obviously fits the bill! 🙂
That wraps up my 5 most popular posts of 2014! Thank you so much for being a part of a spectacular year here, and have a safe and happy New Year!!!
