Hey guys! It’s going to be another short and sweet Christmas tour of our entryway and front room again this year. The hubs and I are remodeling out kitchen and we had some unexpected things come up that were not related to the remodel, but still put us behind schedule. That means the front room of our house is the only room that is currently not covered with tools, building materials, and stacks of kitchenware. We are hosting Christmas so we are hoping to have the kitchen done before then! 🙂
This is our entryway which sits across from our front room and staircase. I love my sideboard and hall tree – they’re always fun to decorate for the seasons!
The pine tree in the galvanized bucket has a root ball, so we will be planting it after the holidays.
The hall tree is a new addition to the entryway this year. I gave it a makeover a few months ago – you can see the before and after pics here: A Hall Tree Makeover Using Chalk Paint
I used this pitcher and bowl and added pine cones and branches for a simple seasonal display. I wasn’t sure if the pitcher was watertight, so I lined it with a plastic bag filled with water. It will make cleanup a lot easier too! 🙂
Do you like my mercury glass ball? You can make one for yourself with my tutorial here: DIY Mercury Glass Christmas Ornaments
Looking at our entryway from our front room.
Our town names streets using surnames of families who live in town. Franscella Lane (Franscella is my family’s surname) is right down the street from us. When it was first named, someone hung this sign up on a telephone pole until our town issued the official sign for it. After the official sign was put up, this sign fell off the telephone pole and laid on the ground for months. After I was reasonably certain no one else wanted it, I permanently borrowed it to use as decor. 🙂 I think it made a great addition to the Christmas decorations!
Do you like the coffee table that I turned into a shelf table? People either really love it or really hate it. If you like it, check out my tutorial for it here: Entryway Table From A Repurposed Coffee Table
I love the fairy lights that are so popular in Christmas decor this year! I put them on some of my smaller trees as well as in the garland on my stairwell.
Some old frames and a old cabinet door makes for great decor to decorate up for the holidays! The ceramic tree was my grandma’s which I upcycled – see how I did it here: Ceramic Christmas Tree Upcycle
Looking up the stairs from the front door. There’s a kitty in the picture – can you find her?
I used a lot of wood beads in my Christmas decor this year! Such a simple way to add a little oomph to everything!
I hope you enjoyed my short and sweet farmhouse Christmas home tour! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
