Hello and welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #51!
Hey friends! How was your week? I hope you had a nice Easter if you celebrate!
I just did our taxes yesterday, and it got me wondering – am I the only one who waits until the very last freaking minute to do their taxes? No matter how much I plan and think about doing them early, I always do them in April.
Always.
It’s like every year starts out with: “Happy New Year! I’m going be super efficient this year and do our taxes in the first week of February because we’ll have all our 1099’s by then and I can get them done at a leisurely pace and then I don’t have to worry about them anymore for this year and and and… ”
…aaaaand it’s April 🙂
I guess I should be happy that I’ve always done them before April 15th. (But I was REALLY tempted to file for an extension this year.)
Do you get your taxes done at the first of the year, or do you put them off until you just can’t wait anymore like me?
This week’s features:
Natural, Rustic Spring Tablescape by Postcards From The Ridge
Vintage Fabric Wreath by Lora B.
Coastal Picture Frame Serving Tray by The Interior Frugalista
Installing a Barn Door in our Master Bedroom by Clover House
The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style. If it doesn’t fit into that description, please don’t link it up. Please no food/recipe posts. You can link up your new and old posts alike as long as you only link them up here once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I would sure appreciate it! I also don’t require you visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! Comments are like Skittles to bloggers – we love them and we can’t get enough of them! If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party! You will also get a chance for your post to be shared on my Facebook group DIY Farmhouse Style, which at this writing has over 293 thousand members! Unfortunately now this is the only way to share your blog posts and links in the group. I’ve had too many problems in the group with people sharing inappropriate links disguised as links to blog posts, so I can no longer allow anyone to post blog links directly.
By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with an explicit link back to your original source.
Thanks so much for stopping by at The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #51! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead and I’ll see you back here next Friday!
Thank you so much, Michelle for featuring my Coastal Picture Frame Tray! Hope you have a great weekend 🙂
You’re very welcome Marie – thanks for sharing it with us! Have a wonderful week! 🙂
Thank you Michelle for your 51st Friday Farmhouse Friday. Have a lovely week.
Joy
Thanks so much Joy! You have a wonderful week too! 🙂
No you are not the only one waiting until the last minute for taxes! We have too.
I’m sharing an amazing home tour today. Wait until you see the collection of milk glass!
Thanks Stacey – I’m happy to hear that I’m not the only one who puts off doing taxes! I just hate doing them!
Doing my tax return is same pressure & stress as my college finals were. I make myself finish them by end of February. I keep a plastic bin on my desk to add the 1099’s as they arrive. It stays there mocking me & forces me to finish ASAP so I can remove it after I hit SEND. I’m OCD about clutter, so that box nags at me! Thanks for Farmhouse Friday.
You’re very welcome Mary! I’m OCD about clutter too, so I’m going to try doing the same thing next year and see if it works for me 🙂
Hi Michelle,
happy to be joining your fun party today. I linked up my garden gnomes in an old milk bucket. I hope that makes it qualify for farmhouse. 🙂 If not, I won’t be offended if you delete my link.
hugs,
Jann
Hi Jann! Your garden gnomes are fine (and very cute too!) 🙂 Thanks for sharing them!
so lovely lovely post really!
