Hello and welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #53!
Hey friends! How was your week?
We just returned from a week’s vacation on the Oregon coast! We rented a house on Gleneden Beach, which is just below Lincoln City. We took my mom with us as she has always loved the coast. This was her first real vacation since before my dad passed 2+ years ago. She had a wonderful time, which I’m very thankful for! ๐
The picture above was our view from our rental on our first full day during the only 15 minutes of sun we got the entire time we were there. That’s Oregon in the spring for you! ๐ Despite the rain, we were able to get in some sightseeing on the coast, went to Salem to visit the capital building. We were also able to spend some time with family and friends who live up there too. All in all it was a wonderful trip!
As great of a trip as it was, it’s always nice to return back home. I missed our 11 cats (yes, I’m a cat lady) and just being home in general. Unfortunately I’m having a tough time getting back into the swing of things as menopause is thoroughly kicking my butt. If you’ve gone through it, you know what I’m talking about – unless you are one of those blessed women who are all like “Oh, I just stopped having periods one day.”. You DO NOT KNOW how lucky you are. I hope this passes soon, or Farmhouse Friday might turn into Farmhouse Cryday.
This week’s features:
DIY Modern Vintage Style Chair Makeover with Gold Spray Paint by Repurpose and Upcycle
Vintage Silverware Art for the Kitchen by Lora B. Create and Ponder
Cloche Encounters of the Bird Kind by Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson
DIY Vintage Fork Easel by Adirondack Girl at Heart
And my post for the week…
DIY Succulent Hanging Heart Tutorial
The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style. If it doesnโt fit into that description, please donโt link it up. Please no food/recipe posts. You can link up your new and old posts alike as long as you only link them up here once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I would sure appreciate it! I also don’t require you visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! Comments are like Skittles to bloggers – we love them and we can’t get enough of them! If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next weekโs party! You will also get a chance for your post to be shared on my Facebook group DIY Farmhouse Style, which at this writing has over 296 thousand members! Unfortunately now this is the only way to share your blog posts and links in the group. I’ve had too many problems in the group with people sharing inappropriate links disguised as links to blog posts, so I can no longer allow anyone to post blog links directly.
By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with an explicit link back to your original source.
Thanks so much for stopping by at The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #53! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead and I’ll see you back here next Friday!

Michelle your vacation sounds lovely. There is nothing more relaxing then lying near the ocean and listening to those soft waves.

What a beautiful view, & what a shame no sun! I can relate to the kitties & to the fun of menopause. The hardest part for me was the insomnia. It’s hard to cope with the other symptoms with lack of sleep. As a southerner, I say to you bless your heart.

Thanks so much Mary <3 Thankfully I'm not dealing with insomnia now, but I have dealt with it in the past so I can relate somewhat. I can only imagine how not being able to sleep on top of everything else that goes with menopause would be like.
