Welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #63!
Hello dear readers! How was your week?
Do you have DIY projects around the house that you really want to get done, but just never seem to find the time? That’s how it’s been with our kitchen cabinets. I’ve wanted to paint them for like forever, but other commitments, projects and life in general kept getting in the way. Well, I’m happy to report that I FINALLY started on them! It’s going to be a long, slow process because our kitchen is big and we have a lot of cabinets. I’m working one section at a time to keep from getting overwhelmed (which is something I’m really good at). I’m hoping since I got the ball rolling now, I’ll get them done in a reasonable amount of time while still working on my other projects – I’m shooting for the first of August. Wish me luck – I’m going to need it! ๐
Since 4th of July is next Wednesday (OMG this year is going by way too fast!) I decided to make this week’s features patriotic themed.
This week’s features:
I am so in love with this patriotic inspired mantel by Penny’s Vintage Home! I love how she was able to use neutral patriotic colors to create this farmhouse style mantel that is patriotic without being flashy.
This patriotic flag made from fabric scraps by The Boondocks Blog is as pretty as it is genius – you won’t believe what she used for the “base” to weave the fabric scraps!
I’m happy to see that I’m not the only person who sometimes isn’t quite satisfied with a project and decides to update it. That is what Carol from The Red Painted Cottage did when she changed her mind about the patriotic flag she made. You can check out how she made it originally and see which version you like best (I like the updated one!).
I didn’t want to leave out our friends up north! Dandelion Bouquets Blog shares their beautiful and rustic Canada Day decor. Canada Day is July 1st and is observed on July 2nd this year.
The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style. If it doesnโt fit into that description, please donโt link it up. Please no food/recipe posts. You can link up your new and old posts alike as long as you only link them up here once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I would sure appreciate it! I also don’t require you visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! Comments are like Skittles to bloggers – we love them and we can’t get enough of them! If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next weekโs party! You will also get a chance for your post to be shared on my Facebook group DIY Farmhouse Style, which at this writing has over 307 thousand members.
By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with an explicit link back to your original source.
Thanks so much for stopping by The Farmhouse Friday Link Party! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead and I’ll see you back here next Friday!

Hi Michelle – have a great long weekend. Thank you for hosting your 63rd Farmhouse Friday (my plan for Farmhouse started with hydrangea and slipped into deck maintenance – and gave me quite a boost in letting go of ‘stuff’ that is no longer needed.
