Welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party #81!
Hey guys! How was your week? I hope you had a safe and fun Halloween!
This week I took a brief hiatus from doing anything on the blog. I’ve been working and stressing about it too much over the last few months and it was time for a little a break. That’s one of the great things about blogging – most of the time I can take a mental health break when I need one. Even when I can’t take a break because of prior commitments with brands or blog hops, I know that I can take a breather in a few days once I’m done. I spent my week catching up on stuff around the house, reading, listening to the birds sing outside my windows and giving our kitties some extra love and attention. In other words, I spent the week remembering what’s really important in life.
Next week I’ll be back in full swing and working on some fun new projects including how to hang farmhouse style curtains on a bay window and how to use canvas drop cloths as slipcovers. I’ll also be working working on some Thanksgiving tablescapes for blog hops the following week. Can you believe Thanksgiving is only three weeks away? Where does the time go these days?
This week’s features:
How to Make a No Sew Roman Shade or Valence from a Shower Curtain by Repurpose and Upcycle
Lindsey transforms a shower curtain into this super-cute Roman shade valance and shares her no-sew technique for those who don’t sew (or just don’t like to).
How To Make Dry Erase Wall Calendars With Old Windows by The Interior Frugalista
Marie repurposed old window frames into farmhouse-perfect dry erase calendars and note board.
Corn and Acorn Swag by My French Twist
Wendy created this pretty corn and acorn swag to drape across her fall tablescape.
Neutral Bedroom with Linens and Hutch by Home Chronicles Blog
Adele created a cozy neutral bedroom perfect for cuddling up in as the days get colder.
The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite DIY projects, decor projects, and crafts that are farmhouse style. If it doesn’t fit into that description, please don’t link it up. Please no food/recipe posts. You can link up your new and old posts alike as long as you only link them up here once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I would sure appreciate it! I also don’t require you visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! Comments are like Skittles to bloggers – we love them and we can’t get enough of them! If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party! You will also get a chance for your post to be shared on my Facebook group DIY Farmhouse Style, which at this writing has over 325+ thousand members.
By linking up to this party, you agree to give me permission to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with an explicit link back to your original source.
Thanks so much for stopping by The Farmhouse Friday Link Party! I hope you have a wonderful week and I’ll see you back here next Friday!

Good for you, Michelle! I couldn’t agree more than once in a while we need to stop and enjoy what really matters in life or we’re heading for burn out. Thanks so much for featuring my Farmhouse Window Calendars 😊 Enjoy your break!

You’re very welcome Adele! I had a tough time choosing between your bedroom and your floor tile stencil project – both were awesome! So happy to have you here!

Michelle I did the same thing this week! I had a few posts to finish but I spent the week cleaning, organizing and enjoying fun Halloween activities in the real world! I have changed my blogging and real life routine up after seeing how much I got accomplished around the house this week and it has stayed clean! You and I both “double booked” blog hops week before last and that was pure craziness wasn’t it?
Thanks for hosting friend!
Michelle says
You’re very welcome Amber! I’m happy to hear you took a little time off too this week. Yes double booking those two blog hops was what pushed me over the edge as far as needing to take a break 🙂 Have a awesome weekend!
