Welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
What could be better on Valentine’s Day than getting a package of fuzzy butts in the mail!
At last week’s party I shared that we were getting chicks from Cackle Hatchery this week. We picked them up from the post office this afternoon!
Aren’t they adorable? These are Bielefelder chickens, a fairly new breed in the chicken world. I won’t repeat all the details about them since I covered it in last week’s party, but if you’d like to learn more about them, you can visit their breed page at Cackle Hatchery.
All the chicks arrived alive, healthy and adorable! I am very happy with my order from Cackle Hatchery and if we are ever in need of more chicks I will definitely order from them again in the future.
This is not a sponsored post for Cackle Hatchery. When I have a good experience with a company, I want to share that with you because I think it’s important to give good companies a shout out. (But if said company wants to send me some free merch as a thank you, that’s totally okay with me!)
Here’s some videos of us picking up the chicks from the post office and getting them settled into their brooder:
I hope I didn’t bore you with all my chicky excitement! but if you do want to see more chick adventures, I’ll be sharing more pics and videos of them on Instagram and Facebook in the weeks to come.
This week I shared my Farmhouse Bathroom Shelf Makeover for my contribution to this month’s Thrifty Style Team. The Thrifty Style Team is a group of super-talented bloggers who one a month share thrifty decor projects that won’t break the bank!
We’re in the process of remodeling our master bath. This shelf is one of the many small projects I’m working on sharing here until the bathroom is finished. Of course once it’s finished I’ll be sharing it here in a big reveal!
