Welcome to The Farmhouse Friday Link Party!
Hey friends! How was your week?
It’s almond blossom time here on the farm! They bloom every year around Valentine’s Day. Almonds are a very popular crop here in Ripon (we’re not the almond blossom capital of the world for nothing!) We can see the trees in bloom for miles from the second story of our home, and their smell is heavenly!
Our Bielefelder chicks are growing like weeds! They are eight days old now. Their wings are almost fully feathered out and I can see the little buds of beginning tail feathers. Chickens grow fast and they don’t stay cute little fuzzballs for long! They will be completely feathered out at around eight weeks.
