Hey guys! Today I want to share with you my red and gold Christmas in my dining room!
We’re not hosting Christmas for the entire family this year because of Covid. It will just me my hubby, my mom and me. We’re not going to use this dining room this year – instead we will eat Christmas dinner on our smaller breakfast table. I still wanted to decorate our dining room to add some much needed cheer for this year!
I’ve always wanted to do a red and gold Christmas theme, but wasn’t sure how it would look in our home. I really love how it turned out!
I decorated our dining room chandelier using pine picks arranged in a circle around the chandelier, Christmas picks, gold bead garland and red and gold ornaments.
To create this centerpiece I started with a vintage serving plate, added brass candle holders with white tapered candles, and finished it with gold bead garland and red ornaments. It was so simple to create but it packs a lot of punch!
To create this wreath I started with a plain faux pine wreath and sprayed it with artificial snow. I let the artificial snow dry for a few hours and then added Christmas picks and gold poinsettia flowers.
I kept this hutch simple this year and just added some pine cones and Christmas sprigs to give it festive vibes.
I love how my Christmas tree turned out! It was my first time decorating a flocked tree. I started with red and gold ribbon for the garland, then added Christmas picks, red and gold ornaments, and gold poinsettia flowers.
Thanks so much for visiting my red and gold Christmas dining room! I hope you have a very merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

Hello ~ I was happy to see all your photos because it gave me a good idea of what the furniture colors look like in a room, not just a single piece that’s been refinished leaving me wondering with the overall look would be (I’m better at seeing the finished product than visualizing …). Did you finish all these pieces yourself, and if so would you mind sharing exactly how? I’m considering redoing my old/walnut set but I’m not sure about it. I’d love to hear more. Thanks again for sharing your lovely home ☺️

Yes, I did refinish these pieces myself. You can find the directions on how I did it here: https://www.thepaintedhinge.com/2017/02/27/farmhouse-dining-room-table-chairs-makeover/ and here: https://www.thepaintedhinge.com/2016/09/19/farmhouse-hutch-makeover-country-chic-paint/

Oh my goodness, forget Disney World. THIS is the happiest place on earth! At least in my eyes. There are so many beautiful pieces in here and you’ve styled everything perfectly. I seriously LOVE it! Think I pinned every photo! Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing it with us. And I say eat in there anyway. Even if it’s just 3 of you. I often sit and eat alone in my dining room.
