Hey friends! I hope this post finds you well and that you had a wonderful week!
Last Saturday I joined my good friend and co-host of this party Cindy at County Road 407 for her Lifestyle Of Love blog hop! A Lifestyle of Love is a group of super talented ladies that get together every other month to bring you beautiful vintage and farmhouse decorating ideas using antique and repurposed goodies!
My contribution was a Valentines themed toolbox! I used a heart I made out of ticking stripe fabric, a lace doily, some dried roses, a couple of vintage balusters, and some lace ribbon, jute twine and a strip of leftover ticking stripe fabric to tie a bow on the handle.
At last week’s party I shared how my hubs and I were jokingly talking about buying an island and naming it Eff Off Island because of the current social and political climate here in the US. I was amazed on how much feedback I got from people who enjoyed it, saying that it made them laugh and gave them some much needed comic relief. There was also a more than usual number of people both subscribing and unsubscribing to my newsletter last week after the post came out. It’s always interesting to see how people will react to my posts and how very little it takes to offend people these days. But I understand that my sense of humor is not be everyone’s cup of tea and it doesn’t bother me if people unsubscribe because of it. I’m just excited about the people who subscribed because they actually like my sense of humor! 😀
With that said…
I’ve found the perfect flag to represent our Eff Off Island nation… the bird of peace! We would want our island nation to be peaceful since the whole point of founding it would be to escape all the fighting and craziness that’s going on in the world today. But just as importantly the flag has a bird on it.
Or should I say, the bird 😉

Link Party Rules:
Link up your DIY projects, decor inspiration, and crafts that are farmhouse style. You don’t have to live in a farmhouse or have farmhouse be the main decor theme in your home in order to link up. I love seeing farmhouse mixed in with other styles such as boho! No food or recipe posts please. I’m super flexible when it comes to defining “farmhouse” so if you are unsure of whether your post will fit in the party theme, go ahead and post it and if I feel it doesn’t fit, it will be deleted – no hard feelings! 🙂 It doesn’t matter how old your posts are, but please link up your posts only once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I appreciate it! I also don’t require you to visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across my social media. If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up to this party, you permit me to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
