Hey guys! I hope you had a fabulous week!
I am so, so happy that the inauguration is over so things can hopefully settle down a bit. Don’t take that as my favoring one candidate over the other – take it as me being sick and tired of all the hate and venom spewed by both sides. Even that last statement could start an argument (“Well the other side spewed a lot more hate and venom than us!!!”) so let me be clear – I’m not trying to go there. And I know it’s not all going to go away entirely just because we have the election under our belts. But I am hoping we can now start on the road to unity, especially since it will probably be a very long road.
So with that said, I’m not going to discuss anything related to politics after this because I’m over it and I want to get back to focusing on farmhouse style However, I did find some interesting stuff when researching the possibility of buying an island to eff off too. That reminds me… Eff Off Island wasn’t about telling anyone to eff off (although 2020 can eff off with all the power that I can muster) – it was my husband and I that were going to do the effing off. Anyway, while researching islands to eff off to (yes, I was half-seriously entertaining it) I found out it’s already been done, and more than once! They are called “micronations” and most were founded by people who were basically effing off from the rest of the world for one reason or another. Some of the more notable ones are the Principality of Sealand, the Republic of Molossia, the Republic of Liberland and Ladonia. All have interesting stories and eccentric residents so they’re definitely worth the read.

Link Party Rules:
Link up your DIY projects, decor inspiration, and crafts that are farmhouse style. You don’t have to live in a farmhouse or have farmhouse be the main decor theme in your home in order to link up. I love seeing farmhouse mixed in with other styles such as boho! No food or recipe posts please. I’m super flexible when it comes to defining “farmhouse” so if you are unsure of whether your post will fit in the party theme, go ahead and post it and if I feel it doesn’t fit, it will be deleted – no hard feelings! 🙂 It doesn’t matter how old your posts are, but please link up your posts only once.
I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I appreciate it! I also don’t require you to visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across my social media. If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.
By linking up to this party, you permit me to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

First, thanks so much for hosting each week. I love seeing all the wonderful posts!
Next, OMG I laughed so hard at your idea of an “eff off” island. Although I didn’t specifically call it that, I’ve said to my husband many, mnay times how much I’d like to buy a private island and leave all this BS behind. I’m done “peopling”. 🙂 I totally understand where you’re coming from– Soul Sisters! 🤣
Happy Friday!

LOL Soul Sisters indeed! 😀 I’m an introvert so I hear you about “peopling.” That’s one thing I love about blogging – I can socialize from afar in the comfort of my own home 🙂 And when I’m done for the day, I can just unplug. Thanks so much for joining us each week and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Michelle. I hope that you are not too tired after those events. Here in Belgium, we were watching TV during the period of the campaign, before and after . You must know that the picture of the USA is ” very special” for us but we were happy to read that you’ll join for a second time the ” traité de Paris” for the climate.
I ‘m not going to write more about this subject. Politic is a terrible subject and your blog is one good solution when we want to .be happy!! Sorry for my english, we are speaking french in Belgium 😀 Have a good sunday! Isabelle
