Hey friends! This week I’m teaming up with 24 talented bloggers to bring you the Summer Festival Blog Hop, hosted by Kendra at Joy In Our Home! This week we will bring you a whole week of summer inspiration, including vignettes, front porches, recipes, tablescapes, and mantles! Be sure to check out the entire schedule at the bottom of this post!

If you’re coming over from seeing all the gorgeous vignettes from our host Kendra at Joy In Our Home, welcome! 🙂

Today I’m sharing three vignettes – my entryway sideboard, my corner hutch in our family room, and my hutch in our dining room.

I wanted to use real sunflowers, but my sunflowers aren’t quite blooming yet, so silk sunflowers it is. They look pretty realistic though.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve tried to keep my decor more simple. Nowadays I decorate with my “every day” stuff, and then mix in a little seasonal stuff and call it good.

My hubby and I recently made the chalkboard so it’s still relatively new here. I just love it!

A couple flower frogs, a vintage style sunflower print that I dug out of my scrapbook paper stash, and a vintage water sprinkler that used to belong to my grandparents makes for some sweet summer themed decor. I wonder what they’d think if they knew nowadays we decorate with the stuff they used to water their yard?

These silk sunflowers really do look like the real thing!

Next up is my corner hutch in our family room. I didn’t do a lot with it, so I only snapped a couple of photos.

I used silk hydrangeas, another vintage sprinkler of my grandparents, a vintage watering can and a small vintage vegetable box to give my hutch a more summery vibe.

On to my dining room hutch. It’s another of my favorite furniture pieces in our home.

I ran out of flowers (both real and silk) so I had to improvise. The flowers you see are star thistle and another viney type with small, delicate pink flowers. Yes folks, these are

I hope you enjoyed my summer farmhouse style inspiration vignettes!
