Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful week!

So the good news is that I have another post up besides Farmhouse Friday this week! Yay! 😀

This hutch is in our family room filling up one wall that I struggled with decorating for what seems like forever! I was so happy when I found this hutch as it is perfect for the space. Even though it’s a hutch, I wanted to do something different than to fill it with “hutch stuff” and then decorate said stuff for Christmas.

Winter Hutch with a Christmas Village in a Tiered Tray

I had hoped to have this up before Farmhouse Friday, but UPS had other ideas 🙂 I ordered some Christmas decor online early last week in the hopes of receiving it early this week to use in the post I had planned. But unfortunately UPS is experiencing unprecedented package volume this holiday season and my packages have been held up at our local UPS hub since Monday. On Tuesday and Wednesday the tracking for the packages “Out For Delivery” but the drivers were so busy that they never actually got dropped off at my house. I didn’t know that that this was a thing that happens when UPS is swamped, so I kept waiting for them to arrive instead of going in another direction with my blog post. When yesterday rolled around and my packages didn’t even make it onto a truck, I finally figured out that I’m probably not going to see those packages for a while and went in another direction with this week’s post.

I certainly don’t blame any of the UPS employees for this or even UPS as a whole. I know they have analysts that try to predict things like holiday volume, but even the best analysts and data can’t always accurately predict what’s going to happen in the future. Sometimes unexpected stuff happens and the best anyone can do is roll with it. I also learned a valuable lesson… I need to start my holiday decorating WAY earlier than I usually do. So when I start decorating for Christmas in July next year, this is why 🙂

And much love and understanding to all the package carriers working this holiday season ❤️

Has the holiday package crunch affected you?

Our Neutral Farmhouse Living Room by County Road 407

Cindy used neutral colors in her farmhouse living room this year, and the results are gorgeous!
