Hey guys! I hope you had a good week and are staying healthy and happy!

Happy May Day and Beltane! Can you believe it’s already May?!? I know for some it may not seem like time moved very fast last month with what’s been going on in the world. But for me as an introvert homebody, the stay-at-home order didn’t affect my life all that much, so it was business as usual in the time-flying-by department.

Well, unfortunately I have more bad news this week ☹ It was another week of dealing with sick kitties and spinning my wheels. We found out on Tuesday that one of our cats Tom (our most infamous tablescape photobomer as you can see above) probably has lymphoma in his intestines. He was not showing any symptoms of being sick, but he had started losing weight for no apparent reason. Weight loss is never a good sign in cats, so I brought him to our vet for blood work and an ultrasound which resulted in the diagnosis of probably lymphoma. I’m bringing him to a specialist this morning to have a endoscopic biopsy done to confirm it is lymphoma and determine the best treatment course for him. He is an older cat (he was an adult when he came to us as a stray in 2008, so he is at least 13) but he is not in pain or showing any signs of being sick besides losing weight. There is no cure for lymphoma, so the best case scenario is that with treatment it will go into remission for a couple of years.

Even though we’ve had a lot of bad news over the last couple of weeks, Dan and I still feel very thankful and blessed. Although we’ve had a bad run with sick kitties lately, we know that people have things a lot worse because of what’s going on in the world right now and have lost loved ones or are struggling to make ends meet. We feel so blessed that we are both still working right now and are able to pay our bills, let alone pay for the medical treatment for Tom (endoscopic biopsies for cats aren’t cheap!).

I’m sorry I haven’t been able to post anything besides Farmhouse Friday over the last few weeks. I promise I will have some new posts up next week. Despite the chaos over the last few weeks, I’ve managed to get in some work making over a hutch for craft room storage that I hope to get up on the blog next week. I’m also taking part in blog hops on Friday and Saturday. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you guys sharing your projects and decor inspiration at Farmhouse Friday every week – not only does did it help me get at least one post up every week over these rough last few weeks, it gives me something positive to focus on with all that’s going on. I hope it does this for you as well during these crazy times!

Link Party Rules:

The party rules are super simple! Link up your favorite farmhouse style DIY projects or indoor/outdoor decor inspiration. You don’t have to live in a farmhouse or have farmhouse style as one of the main themes of your blog – as long as the project or decor would work in a farmhouse style home, it will work here 🙂 No food or recipes, please.

I don’t require you to link back to this party, but if you do, I appreciate it! I also don’t require you to visit or comment on other blogger’s linkups, but it’s always a nice way to share the bloggy love! By linking up, you will get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across my social media. If you pin anything from the party, please pin it from the original source.

By linking up to this party, you permit me to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
